First Published: 07/03/2010 11:43:35

The Some Things for the Weekend on this week's SFTW were presented by gadget girl Ella Williamson. This week's selection of gadgets and games were a hygienic antibacterial computer keyboard called CleanKeys, a puzzle called Addictaball and the JoeBot Interactive Robot Buddy.

CleanKeys Keyboard

First up on Something for the Weekend this week was a hygienic antibacterial computer keyboard called CleanKeys. Aimed by it's manufacture at sterile environments, such as hospitals, laboratories and food processing areas, it's quite expensive, however if you have the cash it seems an ideal piece of kit for these days of hot desking and grabbing your lunch at your desk.  With CleanKeys and it's easy-to-clean smooth glass surface you don't get that sandwich crumbs festering between the keys effect.

If you have the cash check out the CleanKeys website for more details and the UK supplier.

Addictaball Maze

The second item on this week's gadget review section was the Addictaball. This 3D puzzle ball requires you guide a small ball bearing through a series of spirals, drops, swinging arms, flips and slides.  Simples! well not really, the large version, demoed on the show, features 138 stages that will keep your whole family entertained for hours.  If your into puzzles and challenges then this would be the boardom killer for you! Ideal for rainy days, long journeys and exercising the old grey matter.

JoeBot Interactive Robot Buddy

Finally on this week's Something for the Weekend was the JoeBot Interactive Robot Buddy.  This baby is a walking, talking robot that includes a voice-activated program mode that allows you to speak instructions to  JoeBot using a variety of key phrased.  Combined this with obstacle avoidance and fall detection and a host of modes and features any you have a high-tech toy that will keep you and your family entertained for hours. Requires 6 x AA batteries (included).
